Though love cuts deeply into all of us,
Tearing our flesh apart and leading our minds astray,
It is still sought so ferociously.
Still with a broken heart after all these years,
My unfruitful love pulses,
Emerging from its coma only to be subdued
But never soon enough, never before I yearn for her again
As though she was my last chance for happiness.
Is there a look, an aura, a personality change
When one forgets to desire for love?
I begin to laugh as I draw tears from my heart today,
Realizing that when I felt that way, those were the
Only times when Love approached me,
Clubbed me over the head, and took my heart with her
